I'm doing fine.  Drinking clear liquids for 2 wks, 2 more weeks of liquids that don't have to be clear, then 2 weeks of mushy soft foods, then first fill, 2 more days of clear liquids then on a low fat diet.

Dr Maynard is in Conyers and does the band at Newton Medical Center in Covington.  I chose the band because it is less evasive and one is suppose to lose weight more slowly - more naturally in time.

My hubby is also going to have  the band in mid Dec.   Dr chose that for him because of his heart condition.  There is  a long history of heart disease in hi s family and the band is the only wls he would consider for him with the blessings of his cardiologist.  Without the cardiologist's ok, he would not do the band on him.

Congrats!!! Dr. Maynard is great. I wanted to use him for DS, but he is not covered under my insurance plan. Do you attend his support group meetings? How are they? I used to attend when I lived in Conyers, and am thinking about starting back.

Yes, we attend his support group meetings.   They are still on Thursdays - I think the 3rd Thurs of each month.  He and his whole staff (3 ladies) are there each time also.  He plans on starting LapBand support group meetings in January.  I was his 2nd patient for lapband.  His first was done just before me.  Today was the first day I've really felt hungry but then it was the first day I didn't have broth at breakfast.  It seems to stick to my ribs more than other liquids.

You are do right about being half of myself.  My top weight was 180, I had lost some, gained most back, had my knee replacement and lost lots due to loss of appetite.  Yesterday at his ofc I weighed 144.4.   My goal is 87-93.  I'm only 4'7" tall.

One of these days I'll have to see if I can figure out how to put my chart on here.  I'm not real knowledgeable about computers.
