Hi!  I had DS surgery with Dr. Smith on Oct. 23.  He and everyone in his office have been wonderful!  I strongly recommend him.

I have been looking around for seminars too - and one that is a weekend one is for Dr. Champion's office.   He is in Marietta  and the seminar (and the post op support group right after) are at Northside Hospital.   They suggest if you are coming to the seminar, that you also stay for the post op support group to hear what post op folks are saying.

My brother in law had lap band surgery with Dr Champion....he has had no problems....you might want to go to the seminar at least.

Mmmmm..... Just know that when going with Dr. Champion he is out of network and requires additonal $5,000 fee for all procedures. I called a couple of weeks because I've heard he is good. (I head  most Dr. that do WLS that do revisions are skilled) SZo I ended up going to Dr, HArts semniar. it was a very nice hospital however he did not come his partner did the seminar. it was informative. I signed in to get my credit in order to even get the appointment for consultaion. I still havnn't done my paper work. I'm waiting for my new insurance to kick in in Jan. But you know what I could get a date for January. Duhhhhhhhh! It's s till up in the air as far the Drs. because I really like the hospital at Emory  and the RNY being done lap. But Dr, Burrowes is skilled and has taught the procedure to many WLS here in GA. but i hate the hospital is out dated and old. A lot of people say the nurses are good though. Either way I'm in a position to choose either one because I've gone throuigh all the seminars. I'm a seminar junky. So I'm praying God will give me a sign.
