I'm obsessed also Gwen.  I never spent much time on the internet at home and now I am always fighting for time on the family computer.  It seems every time I sit down at the computer my husband or daughter need me for something.  Did they tell you how long you will have to wait for approval from Kaiser?  Do you have to go to doctors and Nut.?  Do you have to loose a certain amount of weight.  I hate that one.  It does feel get to be on my way.  I can't wait to be able to wear some of the clothes that are in my closet that are too tight.  Take care.  Have a great day.  Keep in touch.

Linda I have to have a total of 10 meetings with the psych, 4 support group meetings, at least 6 meetings with the Nut.  I totally cannot stand these meetings with the psych.  I am hoping for a surgery date around February no later than March.  My psych thinks I am not ready. I hate Kaisers rules.  Thank God I do not have to loose a certain amount of weight before I can have the surgery.  I guess I can be thankful for that.  Again, I envy you.....

Gwen - Why does the psych not think you're ready?  I'm sorry you have to go through all this.  What psych are you seeing?  I saw Dr. Gary Santavicca.  I think he was recommended by Dr. Macik's office.  Don't envy me.  I will have everything figured out by the time of your surgery so I can help you along the way.  Tell you what worked and what didn't.

Linda you are wonderful.......that's a nice way to look at it (you helping me along the way).  I've been told that Ann Hixson is the only counsler I can see and that there were no other options.  This woman is a nightmare.  She takes advantage of the fact that you dont have any other options.  I had my first group meeting with her and she confused a woman in our meeting  of having alcoholic parents, and it turned out she had the wrong patient.  She didn't even bother to apoligize.  Her attitude is, you need me and you are not ready until I say you are ready.  She has even admitted that she is the evil Ann and my nutritionist who's name is Ann also is the nice Ann.  Linda how many times did you meet with Dr. Gary?  Talk to ya soon.......

I hate to even tell you this but I had to meet with my psych only once.  He talked to me, asked me questions and then asked me to fill out a standard format of questions that has been used for years.  I wish you had another option.  I wonder if my friend with Kaiser had to use her.  She used Dr. Macik.  I know she had a lot of hoops to go through with Kaiser.  I will check with her.

Good luck!  My surgery was changed from Dic. 1st to the 3rd sorry I don't know about the dr.
