SHBP (not BOB) is the State Health Benefit Plan.  This is the name used to refer to the insurance all state employees (and state employee retirees) get.  Since the SHBP insures nearly 700,000 people, we've been taking up a lot of bandwidth around here lately as we recently went through open enrollment and in the new year they will be covering WLS (which has been an exclusion for many years).

So that's what that was all about.  I can't speak to the other part of your post...sorry.

BCBS - Is Blue Cross and Blue Shield... I do not know of medicare / medicaid covering plastic surgery.... and know of NO hospital in GA that will give you all of those procedures for only 5,500... just my tummy tuck was more in hospital charges than that (again insurance paid for it though)

Perhaps you will have to go back to LSU... Good luck!
