V DAY, Remembering why we are Free to Choose!

As a Marine, I never understood why so many never knew what our mission was and what we where required to do.  I remember going to the Fight Fires, Riots, Drug Mission, and Border Patrols to earn enough money to by First Aid kits for our infantry unit.  I remember spending more time overseas and missing birthdays, holidays, and even Christmas. Their was very few personal things like watching the first step of your child or the anniversary you had of one while sitting in a hummer halfway around the world.  The young men you meet and lay to rest later.  The ceremonies that celebrate the life of a young man who choose to defend freedom.  Even today as I visit the Veteran Administration Medical facilities you see more and more young men and even Older ones abandon and not being cared for by a group of pay checkers.  It as bad a any nursing home that you read about in the paper.  If your struggling today or worried about your weight just stop and think how great it is to live in this country and have just that problem.  We celebrate your victories and your pride, please display your countries pride by displaying an American Flag and a Smile.  May the folks here by successful and make their goals and be a life saver for themselves and others.  I'm thankful for my friends and close associates, even my CB for the laughs and daily chats.  I look forward to hearing from you again and again.  Have a great day.
