did anyone watch "Ruby" last night?

I enjoyed the premiere episode of the new Style channel series Ruby last night. It is about a 500 lb woman Ruby in Savannah who is strugggling with her weight.  She is dieting and exercising to lose. I found it interesting she isn't trying wls.

She is truly a beautiful woman inside and out.  I was in tears when she went to the doctor and the chairs were too small. Also when she had to swim in a dress because she couldnt find a swimsuit big enough.

I found her story inspirational and will mark my calander for this show every week. If you missed it there are several repeats, and it is a weekly series. It was on channel 28 on my Charter cable.

I'm not sure exactly what day it comes on, but seems like they offer a repeat every night.

I watched it, and plan on seeing it every week.

I also found it strange that neither of the Dr's that she went to, even suggested WLS.   She is trying to loose over 275 lb, which is very hard to do.  IF it wasn't there would no be so many of us on OH....Wish her lots of good luck.   She is a lovely person on the  outside as well as the inside

I watched and felt like she is fighting an uphill battle.  I can't believe that someone has not given her the option of wls.    I think (don't mean to be a defeatest) that it is virtually impossible to lose that much weight and keep it off.  I think statistics actually prove that.

I just feel so sorry for her, even though she is getting a lot of support to help.  Maybe along the way they will open that up as an option.   I wish I had done it so much sooner.

The struggle is never over but that God for a tool to help.

It isn't just hard to do - to loose all that weight.  It is impossible without WLS.
