SHBP Open Enrollment almost over
My husband went with the Cigna HRA. We used Cigna year before last when I was pregnant with my son and they were great for us. What is the General Health Savings Plan? I have a flexibile spending account for medical but its not through Cigna and its pre tax so I save a bit. Is that the same type of thing? How do you get started on the 6 months of supervised diet visits? How do you find a doctor to go to? I want to get started but I really have not idea.
She was very supportive. She just told me I would schedule a follow up appt 1x per month. She said I can do Weigh****chers, Jenny Craig, etc. I chose to do a 1500 calorie diet she printed in the office for me because I can't afford to pay for a commercial diet.
As far as your other question, as far as I know a general health savings is pretty much the sale as flex spending, except it rolls over. There may be more exclusions for what you can use the money for. I called the 800 number and the customer service lady was very helpful.
