Support Groups
Dr. Donald Maynard has a support group that meets at Rockdale Hospital. He specializes in DS, but everyone is welcome at the groups regardless of surgery type. They usually have a very informative speaker or video. Its a good mix of pre and post op patients. I really wish he could do my surgery, but he is not covered under my insurance plan. www.samabariatrics.com is his website and the # is

There is also another group that meets at Henry medical center the last Tuesday of every month. I atttended the one this week. It was ok, but I like Dr. Maynard's group better. This group is also having a meet and greet at Logan's in Mcdonough 11-15-08 1:00. Everyone is welcome.
