Long time .......Sad news

Hey guys ,,,It has been forever since i have been on here.  But so much has happened to me this year.  As some of you know i had RNY about 5 years ago and it did not work so i went and had a lap band put on about 2 years ago...Well things are going good with the band.  i have not lost as much as i would like but i also do not have a fill in right now.  I went about 6 months of not eating cause i was so sick and the doc could not figuer out what the deal was.  WEll i needed my gallbladder takin out.  so i am just now getting back on my feet and eating again


So if you think there is something wronge and even if the doc's tell you no ...keep going .....

On a sad note some know my mother she also had rny and then a band put on.  She passed away in june.  Part from her band and part not.  Her port of her band kinked a blood vesel and caused part of her upper bowle to dye.  so they went in and took the band/port out and thought she was fine.  well a week and a half later she passed away.  Again like i said if you think something is not right please keep going to the doc and please go to someone that knows soemthing about these surgerys.  my mom was in a VERY small hospital and part of me feels like that was the problem. 

Everyone just pelase be careful i am not saying the band killed my mom i think she is one in a million of freak things that can happen .....but it did.  It has not made me thing differently about the band.  but just be careful.

Sorry about your Mother, mine passed away in Sept.  Her death was from a stroke, but it really doesn't matter what it is due to...It is still a loss. 

What were your symptoms when you were having gall bladder trouble.  I am nearly 4 months out, and have some small symptoms that I think might be related to my gall bladder...just wondered...

I'm sorry to hear about your mom.  My prayers are with you.  You are so right when you say if you feel something is wrong.  We all have that inner thing when we instintively know.  It's good to see you back.
