Hi everyone...

I am fairly new to this site. I just got my approval about a week ago and am having surgery on 24th in Savannah.  Excited and scared to death.  I have three very active daughters and I am a Realtor...  I am stressed as to the recovery time more than anything.  I have to make sure my clients are taken care of and that my daughters get the attention they need.  My girls have a cheerleading competition the 2nd weekend in November in Atlanta.  I have NEVER missed one.  I have a closing on Oct 31st and Nov 12th. Never missed a closing with a client either....You all are a wealth of information, so I am asking.......   What are the chances that I will be up this?  I am 43 and am very active so my head is saying "no problem girl" but my body may send another message...lol

The only thing constant,...     is  change!

You will be fine. I had RNY....I am a mom of 7 children. 2 Married but the other 5 live at home and keep me very very busy. My youngest also does competition cheerleading, but I had mine in April, so that did not interfere. I am also a Realtor. I actually did miss a closing after my surgery because it was literally the day after my surgery. With that being said.....You will be at your closing. I honestly felt great. Closings are not strenous but you may want someone to go with you to drive just in case you are tired or a little weak. Other than that, I think you will be GREAT. Recovery really was fast for me. Good luck and I'm so happy for you. Oh.....one more thing...I am also 43. WOW too mu*****ommon huh?

My daughter cheers on Falcon Allstars. We are a very small recreation all star team. We all have been cheering rec for years and decided that we needed an association for competition cheerleading. We created one and the girls have been cheering together for 3 years now and we love it. We do athletic championships but we go to Chattanooga and last year we did the one in Destin too. I prefer Destin but.....everyone else didn't like dragging the season out to April....sniffle.

We are not doing Battle under the big top this year. I know we are doing cheer for the cure and I can't remember the others off the top of my head in Atlanta...Maybe we'll run into each other. Our girls are a little older. We will be doing Junior level 3 this year.

Wow! You sound like Wonder Woman!

If you don't mind my asking, how long did it take you to get approval? I am just starting and my insurance won't start to cover until January, so...waiting...waiting...

Savannah is one of my favorite cities in Georgia!

Georgia Girl, Cool..  What surgery are you having and did you research it.  Busy life styles choose the sleeve, so recovery is 2 - 4 days depending on the surgeon and you.. your body maybe right... theirs a lot of information to digest depending on your choice..

Thank you sooooo much.  I have tried so hard to "plan" the best time to do this without too much disruption.

How funny that we have so mu*****ommon.  What team is your daughter on? We have probably been at the same competitions....lol  My girls are Cheer Savannah (youth level 4/5). We are going to Athletic Championship in Nov and Battle Under the Bigtop in Dec ... both in Hotlanta.
