Looking for Friends in the are

Hello Everyone, was wondering, do you guys do meet ups or anything like that for the people who live in the area. I live near Gainesville, ga, Im 25 and I am on my way to getting surgery soon. It would be nice to have friends to talk with who live close to go through the same experiences.

I think a lot of us are scattered around the metro area.

Most of us are part of one support group or another and thats where we see each other.  Anyway, were all friends here!  When you go through this and you feel "weird", we have all been through it too and will be happy to answer any questions you have.

Hi Christina, I just saw your post and wanted to let you know I live in Gainesville, too.  Who is your bariatric dr. going to   be?
If you have any questions please let me know.  I'm just now a year PO and would be glad to share any info or my experiences.

my surgeon is dr steinberg in decatur. i have two more appointments one to see th ephysc and the other to see the lung dr. thanks for replying.

WOW! and congrats! to you sweetie. i am not just a little over 3 years post-op and i have been through more that anyone have ever! you may want to talk with me and see what it is you really have in store! congrats! and God blessed you sweetie...

hey thanks for your reply. ive already seen the nutrionist and now im going to see the lung dr next week and the physc the wekk after.

I am 1 month Post-Op and have lost 30 pounds.  My Dr. is also Dr. Scott Steinberg, and he is great.  I just Love him to pieces.
