How long after insurance approval before someone called from the office to schedule surgery?

sorry i cant help you. he was one of the doctors i considered but i'm self pay. So off to Mexico i go.

I think I'd call the office and get the ball rolling. If you know that the insurance has approved the surgery, I'd go ahead and give them a ring in the morning.  I am kinda impatient though.

I'm so glad to hear you got approved. Have you gotten your "written" approval yet? They will not call you for any appointments until they have the "written" approval. If you have gotten it, I would fax AND e-mail it to them and then call them until they give you a date. Here is what happened for me....

I got a verbal approval...called all excited. Jackey told me it has to be in writing. Unfortunately Aetna doesn't fax...She told me if I got mine before she got hers, to fax it to her. The day I got mine was a darn weekend!!!!! I waited until Monday and was so excited I couldn't stand it. I faxed it and waited....waited....waited....I finally called her that day and she said she had it and she would have to call me back...I waited and waited and waited and waited...no call. 5:00 came and went. I was fit to be tied. She knew what I wanted...how hard was it to schedule a darn appointment. I had decided that was IT....I was goign to call the next day and demand to speak to ANYONE but her. BUT..Before the office even opened the next day, Jackey called me and gave me my 4 appointments.

Bottom line....if you have your approval letter in hand, CALL THEM....If you don't....wait until you get it and then fax it and then call call call call call.

4 appointments??????  What for?????

Don't worry....they are all very fast. The first appointment is actually the appointment where you come in and meet the doctor for the first time. The second one is the pre-op class and pre-op testing, the third is the endoscope and the 4th is the surgery. My appointments were April 15, April 22, April 24 and April 28th. They were very fast. It kept me busy the week before surgery, which was GREAT.

Now that you put it this way it does sound better!!! 
I just hope the Dr.'s hurry up going throw my file and send it to the ins. (Amerigroup) fast and aprooved before all hell brakes loose with the economy!  LOL

Hopefully Peachtree has already gotten your approval because  I was told by Lolita that she only makes appointments on Fridays. SO Hopefully you won't have to wait another week.  But don't be shy to call her.  I waited until 4:30 on the Friday she was supposed to call me then decided to call her.  If I had waited any longer I may have had to wait another week to be scheduled.
