My Surgery has been scheduled 10/22/2008

My surgeon is Dr. Macik.  Anyone have any comments or concerns if he was your surgeon?

Congrtas on getting a date.

Nell... Nervous is certainly understandable but, scared? Wheres your faith, sister girl? Have faith in God, he will bring you through it. Trust his word, sweetheart. You are in good hands and I don't believe that Dr. Hixon wouldn't do surgery on you, if he wasn't able to do it. Read Joshua 1:3-9 and rest knowing that all things will be fine.

I frist went to Dr Macik, He wanted to do the gastric sleeve, or the band only, and they are not approved by my Inc, he said I was to high risk to have gastric bypass, that is what my Inc will pay for, My sugery is this Friday, My Doctor is Dr Clarence Hixon. I am scard. I need a lots of Prayer.

Thank you for replying.  If you do not mind telling me, why did he think it was too high of a risk?  I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers on Friday.  I know you are scared, just think of a new life, that is what is keeping me excited.

I just talk with him about 30 to 40 min, And i told him i had blood  clots in my legs, And I was on blood thiner. I ask my Doctor now did he think i was high risk, He just said if I though that I would not do the surgery. He said I was a higher risk being over weight like i am. He told me He had done lots of sugery on people with clots, and on blood thiner.
