All you Georgians have to have some positive news.  We need and want it. Rhino's must be feed a study diet of positive news and growth.  I know their some of you that have some so share  it with us and lets get this board hot with that's  excitement needed.

Hi... have my 1st apt tomorrow w/ the surgeon... I have to go thru 6mths supervised diet w/ doc before ins approval

Just ran across your note regarding Dr. Champion.  I'm researching WLS and have been to Dr. Champion's informational seminar and also to Dr. Dennis Smith's informational seminar.  Right now I'm leaning toward Dr Smith because he does more surgeries, especially DS, which I may be interested in. Plus I thought he did a more through job explaining the pre and post op situations. But I was about to interview Dr. Champion just to be sure.  What news do you have?  It will really help me make the best decision I can for this surgery.   I'm in the Marietta area and these two doctors are both highly recommended.  This is scary business.

Well... I would love to have it this year... knock on wood I should be finished gathering paper work next week... but it is a waiting game at the moment... only things left on the checklist for Dr, J is this paperwork and pre-op bloodword (which for a 6 month diet we can't do til month 4)... don't want to schedule it until I know I have all the paperwork gathered... once I get insurance approval who knows when I will have surgery... found out yesterday EJCH is not covered on my insurance as of now, but will start coverage on 1 Jan 08.... so I'm thinking Jan... I'm planning on doing the LAPBAND. 

What about you... when do you think you will have surgery?
