Anyone with BCBS Ga- how long did it take to get your approval letter?

I really can not answer you on this, but I have heard that some get approved now. But when I had my surgery it was not covered. That was 2 years ago. If you have done all of your clearences, you might get approved. But I think it has to be medicaly nessesary. Then does your company allow this type of coverage? Mine did not, so I paid cash!

I want to wish you the very BEST ON YOUR JOURNEY. If I can help you in anyway let me know and I will go to OH and see where we can .

I have BCBS of GA employee coverage and my provider was advised of my approval within 5 business days of submitting the Pre-Authoriztion request.   I am sooo excited, just found out about the approval yesterday, 9/4.

It really depends on your plan. I have Empire BC/BS through my husband and after all the clearance and submission I was approved in a week I think. My surgery date is 09/25/2008.

It really DOES depend on your coverage.  I have BC/BS GA but WLS was a specific exclusion.  I had to pay privately.

BCBS customizes the coverage for different employers, so there are dozens and dozens of different plans.

I am glad if you have one of the plans that pays!
