Xpost -- What did your hospital charge? Help, please!

 I want to try to negotiate a cheaper hospital rate. I thought if I could find out what others have paid (especially in GA), I could use that to negotiate. :) Thanks!

DeKalb Medical Center 13,500 includes up to a 3 day stay, anesthesiology fee is 1,800, physician fee 4,400. Hope this helps.

I don't know that you would be able to "negotiate" a cheaper rate for WLS.  Generally speaking, when you are told the "self-pay cash price" by a physician, that *IS* the negotiated rate. 
For example, my surgeon provided this information from the hospital:
LAP Roux-en-y     hospital charge $15,000
                           Anesthesia charge $1,275
                           Surgeon fee $7,500 (-$2,500 discount for cash)

 Thanks -- I am using Northeast GA medical center, and they do not have a price set for the VSG (just the RNY and Band). I am hoping they will price it somewhere between the RNY and Band (rather than the same as RNY). I figure the more info I have, the better.
