Advice?
My surgery is Sept 9th and I'm making a notebook with different foods I can eat and at what point. Different recipes for different stages and such. I've bought some samples of different proteins and some sugar free syrup. I also got some broth and I'm going to make some of my own. I've bought my vitamins and started packing my suitcase already! I'm so excited. Good luck to you.

I'm 4 days post op...
I started early as far as getting receipes together in a binder. I also put all my excercises, and my food guidelines from my NUT all in one binder. Easier to find, and organized for my hubby.
I went and bought food items, water, sugar free applesauce, broths, small curd cottage cheese, sugar free popsicles, etc.,to stock up on what I could. Saved time later.
I also got all of my supplements adn vitamins lined up, even though I'm not allowed any prior to seeing my Dr. on the 3rd.
My Dr. gave me my prescriptions prior to surgery too, I highly recommend getting them filled before you leave to the hosiptal.
At the hospital, really the only thing I needed was a change of clothes to go home in, some lip gloss is a must, and lots of those lovely Ice Chips they give you!
Good Luck!

I made sure that I had everything that was listed in my manual, because I was by myself
My spouse is currently deployed and my children went to my mother-in-law for a few days. I made sure that I also had bandages, Popsicles, batteries for the remote, and movies and more movies. ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/biggrin2.gif)
It is good advice to make sure that you have your Rx filled before surgery.
