I have seen my doctor for my last appointment before surgery and they have given me all of my pre-op papers to take to the hospital but when I had my sleep study I left all of my papers from the nutritionist in the drawer by accident and they told me that they can't find them but can someone please give me the post-op diet that I suppose to follow including the protein shakes. However when I meet with the doc on Friday I have learned now that I am getting the realize band because he stated that this one was the most popular now and he has say a better outcome but it is totally up to me but I stuck with the one he recommended. But i will appreciate all of your suggestions.

You should be able to get a copy from your NUT.  Just give them a call

I went to see Dr. Steinberg on Friday after I had my ultrasound and fluoroscopy and they gave me all of my pre-op papers to take to he hospital and Shauwna stated that someone should call me in about three days with a date. But soon as I get it I will let everyone know. Thanks for the number.

Basically you will be on liquids for 3wks.  That will include skim milk and  about 90-125 grams of protein a day.  Get a can of Genisoy protein powder from a vitamin store or Ingles.  Make sure its the non-flavored kind.  Chicken broth or beef broth, italian ices(sugar-free) popcicles(sugar-free), apple juice and water.  You are gonna want to get some splenda or equal too.  No soda. Make sure you call Pamela Watson, the dietician@ 404-501-5611 and she will give you your amounts of protein intake numbers.
