Im HOME!!!

I got home yesterday around 4:30.  It was so great to get home and in my own bed!  Surgery was successful!  Dr Hart and Johns Creek Hospital are amazing!!    My surgery was almost 2 hrs due to a hernia repair but all was a success!  Surgery was at  12:30 on Wed and by 6:00 I was up walking. Slow mind you but I was moving!    I still have a ton of gas rrrrrrr I wi**** would just move out!   I woke upseveral times last night or early this am rather. Once around 2 and cleaned my bathroom and again at 4:40 and loaded the dishwasher.  Is this overdoing?  I feel pretty good except the gas pains!!   I still feel like Im in a fog a dream like this has not happened yet.  I made it I made it!!!  Yippeeee!!!   Im finally on the OTHER SIDE!!!   Starting my new life!  Im sure I will have many questions as I go and appreciate everyone for always being there!!  Specia thanks to Mel.. It really meant alot having a visit from you the same day of surgery.  There is nothing like seeing someone that understands what youve been through!  One more comment.... I worried and wondered almost my self sick if I was doing the right thing and because my surgery type changed I was thinkgin that I would be a basket case the day of surgery.  It was right the opsite!!  I was so calm... they ask me if I needed something for anziety  and suprising enough I was completely fine!!   I am still amazed at how much peace I Had the day of surgery.  I know a big part of it is knowing you have an excellent surgeon and support group!  OK I could go on and on but I think you get the idea.. Im excited... pleased.... and can not wait to see what happens next.

Lindy,  I actuutally had RNY done.  I feel so great other than gas!  yuck!!

GINGER, I'M SO GLAD YOU ARE HOME AND DOING WELL. TRUST ME, THOSE GAS PAINS WILL MOVE ON AND YOU WILL FEEL MUCH BETTER. BEING ACTIVE IS OKAY AFTER SURGERY, JUST BE CAREFUL. BE SURE NOT TO LIFT ANYTHING MORE THAN ABOUT 5 POUNDS. THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF A WONDERFUL JOURNEY.  JUST BY VISITING WITH YOU IN THE HOSPITAL, I KNOW THAT YOU WILL BE VERY SUCCESSFUL.  TAKE CARE.

I'm so glad your experience was so positive.  You sound fantastic.  BTW, next time you get up at 2am and want to clean the bathroom, let me know...I'll give you my address!  I think you were supposed to "nest" BEFORE the surgery, not after.  Take care of yourself, you need to recouperate a little!

And save me a seat on that loosers bench...I mailed my stuff to insurance this am.

I am glad to hear all went so well  Just be careful to not overdo it... Keep the positive thoughts and i am sure all will be great....  

I got my insurance approval letter today, so I have 90 days to get the RNY surgery,,,,, I am scared of surgery but anxious to move forward.  Well wish me luck...

I have made myself promise to slow way down tomorrow and then see what Monday brings!! 
Congrats on your date!!  I t is so exciting you fear will go away when the time gets closer atleast mine did.  Best of luck!!
