Hello Everyone,

Well, I went did it!!!!! I went white water rafting!!!!! And it was AWESOME!!!!! Exciting, scary, fun all rolled up into one!!!!!  Thought I would share the picture with you.  Just take a look at my profile and you will see me, I am the one in front on the right with the braid. 

I liked it so much I am going back in a couple of weeks and doing a harder course.  Can't wait!!!!!

I encourage you to make a list of all those things you want to do and when you get the opportunity to "Go for it!!!!!

I actually stayed in the boat the entire time....I am doing a harder one this next time.....so I might find myself in the water....but that is ok.  And it is fun!!!!!

Thank you Janet....yes, we lost so many years.....not being able to do what we truly wanted to do......NOW WE CAN DO ALL THOSE THINGS AND MORE!!!!!!!  Life is soooooooo good!!!!!!!

That is awesome. I have always wanted to try that. As soon as I get a little more in shape you might see me on the rapids...lol. Good for you I am glad you enjoyed it. You are such a great person and work hard, you deserve something fun.

Now THIS is the reason I'm having surgery... to be able to do things like this.  I am SO excited. I can't WAIT to be able to really live my life, really be able to do all of the fun things I dream of doing.  My sister spent the summer in Hawaii, brought home a video of herself skydiving, and it took everything in me not to burst out in tears right in front of her.  I cried myself to sleep that night.  I want to live  with zeal too. 

Way to go!!! Rock on.

You will do all the things you want to do.......just do what your surgeon tells you to do.....be compliant......you will lose the weight, be healthier and do all the things you always dreamed about.........It is never to late to do them.....I sometimes forget I am 47 year old.....I feel better than I did when I was 25.

I'm from NH but my best friend lives in Roswell. I love it there. I'll be in Roswell Sept.20th til the 28th. 
I went White water rafting with my girlfriend and her husband several times I love it. We have done the Nantahaila (sp??) and we also did the Olympic course once.
my last rafting trip was on a very lazy river but it still was fun. That one we did in a two man ducky. I really like the bigger rafts. Funny I did those when I weighed 300 lbs
I never worried about falling out, I'm hoping we get to do it on this trip but I am nervous about falling out of the boat.
All I remember is roll over like a turtle in a shell, and pray someone will pull you back in the boat..lol.
Glad to see you are trying new things it sure is fun.
I love your little town and I always find a great gift in the square of shops in Roswell, and the museum was neat too.
