Drs. Duncan and Hobson

Could anyone who has had surgery with Dr Duncan or Dr Hobson or has a surgery date scheduled tell me how far out their surgery was scheduled through Peachtree Bariatrics.  In other words, once you got the ok from insurance, how long before you actually had your surgery.  I know it varies, just was curious.

I had surgery with Dr Rashid from Peachtree Bariatrics and my surgery was scheduled within 2 weeks of me receiving the approval from insurance.  Good luck!!  They really seem to be a great group to work with.  I had a little difficulty with getting follow up phone calls back from the office staff while I was trying to get my approval worked out, but overall it has been a great experience!!

Thanks for the reply.  I was just curious.  I'm anxiously awaiting approval from my insurance company.

From approval to surgery was about 26 days. The hardest part and the most frustrating part was BEFORE surgery. So...once you get that approval, the rest of the staff at PTB are very nice. I wasn't thrilled with the surgical coordinator that put my paperwork together. She was difficult to deal with. I love the rest of them. Good luck.... I am VERY satisfied with my decision to use PTB.

Dr. Duncan's schedule is about a month out, I was able to get Dr. Rashid or Hobson in about 2 weeks. I opted to wait for Dr. Duncan...my surgery is scheduled for the end of this month. GOOD LUCK!!!!
