some post-op folk are asses!!

i have a cus who had rny about two yrs ago and she is really off the chain, she had the nerve to leave some very rude comments on some of my pics on myspace sayin how i didnt need to have my fat ass in a shirt and that i need a sheet and how big my cheeks are saying that i look swollen when i saw them i called her and cused her ass clean out, that trick was just 370 laqst year what give her the right to say some **** like that!! my friend thinks i was being mean but i have been listening to her little remarks all year was i wrong to let her know about herself??

I'm really sorry that you are having this problem, But we are not all BAD. Some just forget where they started before WLS.

not all are like that, not at all, i said some. i have a aunt who has had wls and she just turned out sweeter then she already was

Sorry you are going through this.

People make rude comments to get a reaction out of you.  My getting upset, you showed her it worked.  Take the higher ground.  Delete the comments or leave them there.  Not everyone is going to find your pics attractive.  Freedom of speech and all that.  It doesn't say the speech has to be nice.

That said, the damage is done.  You called her and let her know that words can hurt you.  That other people's opinions of you actually matter.  That you don't have enough self esteem to see that the comments were nothing more than hurtful and she is probably A VERY INSECURE person. 

Next time, I wouldn't even comment.  It takes a very big person (emotionally) to rise above petty behavior.  Your cousin was very petty and hurtful.  BUt if you would have laughed it off or ignored her, it'd stop.

There is a couple of people in particular post-op on this site that is short and rude in my opinion, but I just let it go. Everytime I say something to the same thread she's on she always has some sort of remark to make but that's Ok too. She used to be fat before her surgery also. I just let the comments slide off my back like water on a ducks ass.........

That would have royally pissed me off also!

It sounds to me like she's having a bad day and she took it out on you. I hate when people do that sorta crap. I know going thru WLS we go thru UPS and DOWNS and emotionally i know I"ve felt unstable a few times, but I would NEVER do that to somebody. Sometimes surgery just brings out the ugliness in a person not their beauty.

I think you look good girl. .. just hold ur head up!
