Dr.Michael Williams
I only have positive comments for Dr. Williams. He is a very competent and very professional physician. His office staff is the best. I traveled from Louisiana to Georgia to have my surgery with Dr. Williams. Maybe one day I will write a post about the the idiot doctors in Baton Rouge and why I switched to Dr. Williams but that would take all day. Anyway, this is the very first reply I have ever made on this forum and it is in favor of Dr. Williams. My insurance approval was completed in one wee****ep in mind my insurance didn't require anything but a BMI over 40. No psych approvals, supervised weight loss programs or any of the other crap I see many folks talking about. Dr. Williams performed my surgery on May 8th 2008 and I have since lost 50 pounds, no more diabetes, bye bye high blood pressure and I can play ball with my sons. This man is top notch!
Another note on the insurance. I have United Health Care. I will not mention the company I work for; however, our policy did not have any of the "red tape" others have had to deal with. When I found out our insurance was changing and I would have to have the psych clearance, 6 months of physician supervised weight loss, and 5 years of BMI over 40 I ditched the idiots in Louisiana. My coworker had her surgery with Dr. Williams and told me to give his office a call. 3 weeks later I was on the airplane! and the rest is history!
