As for what to stock up on I have no idea since I had RNY. For the first week or so I did not want to eat anything..By then I was able to go grocery shopping again. I do remember at first eating a bunch of sugar free popsicles and sugar free jello... I ordred the Unjury online and I added it to everything.. I was never one for drinking the protein drinks... They just didn't sit well on my tummy. I did well however getting the proteins in. As Mel said stock up on your vitamins and other supplements. I am sure Rachel or whoever your Nutritionist is will go over all that stuff with you at your pre-op appt. Good Luck and hold on for the ride of your life. If there is anything I can help you with please feel free to let me know.

I know I already told ya but YAY!!!!!!! I am SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!

As to what to do to prepare -  clean the house! You wont want to right after surgery and Dr Hart wont let you lift anymore than 10lbs for the first 30 days. Other than that, I would go ahead and order the Unjury that Rachel makes us take (are you using Rachel or Melissa? ) and once you've had the pre-op nut class thingy go ahead and order/buy the Multi or whatever they put you on. I'm not sure what you will take since I had RNY.

I'm doin the dance for ya!!!

You will see (and pay) Rachel again.  They'll have you come in to sign consent forms and you'll get your pain RX which you can fill downstairs at Concord drug and you can also get your bowl prep there (Apparently a lot of pharmacies don't carry one of the meds so they recommend you just fill it then) You'll have a little "class" w/ Rachel where she will go over the post op diet and such.  You order the unjury online, there's a link from this site actually, look to the left.  You will then go over to the hospital to meet w/ anesthesiology.

CONGRATS!
