New to GA :) and in Warner Robins : )

I just wanted to say hello : )  to the GA board.
I have just recently married and my dear hubby is from here.
I moved from Florida where I had my gastric bypass on 10/11/2006
I would love to make new friends and if anyone knows of any support groups here or near here that would be great as well.
Please feel free to say hello if anyone is interested in a new friend whether you have had the surgery or not..... I would just love to meet others : )

Hi Margo Marie, and welcome!  I'm in the Atlanta area, so I don't know about support groups, but I LOVE this website!  I actually spend most of my time on the VSG forum, which is way more active than the Georgia one.  You might check out the RNY one and the main forum as well as this one.  The folks are great, and I am learning all about what to expect in the next months.  It is good to have you on board!    --Dorothy

I check this board often but spend most of MY time on the RNY board!

Hi Margo! 

I am in Warner Robins!  I believe that there is a support group here in this area, although I have not been to one.  I have been here for a year and a half, but have been too busy to go.  I know that they also have one in Macon.  If you keep an eye on the boards, you will sometimes see the post as to when/where that meeting is.  

I had my surgery in Florida as well, but it was done at the military hospital @ Eglin AFB.  What part of Florida did you move from?  We moved from Fort Walton Beach.  My hubby is military, so we moved here.  However, i really miss the beach and can't wait to move back towards it!  ....If you are still interested in meeting new friends, please feel free to email me!  My home email is [email protected]   I have two boys 15 & 8.
