Cigna insurance

Did anyone have trouble getting approved with Cigna insurance? My paperwork was submitted on Monday so now I'm going through the waiting process.

My paperwork will be submitted on Monday, 7/21/08, I plan on calling Cigna on Wednesday to verify receipt.  When I telephoned Cigna, they told me that I would have an answer between 5 days to 2 weeks.

Maybe I should call them then to see if they have even received my paperwork.  Mines was sent out on July 7th so it has already been 10 business days as of today.

Well of course I received a phone call this morning stating that now I need a "Letter of Necessity" from my PCP, so as soon as I receive that letter they will be able to submit.

I have Cigna and used them. I was approved within about a 1 1/2 weeks. My surgery was last May. I got approved the first time without any problems and no addtional questions asked. I called them first and was told I was approved before my surgeons office even knew. 4 days later I also had my acceptance letter showing a date. The date is just a estimate date. But the real date was only about 2 weeks after.

 My Dr's office sent it out on July 7th and they claim to have received it a whole week later on July 14th, hell GA to TN is not that far.  I called them this morning and they are still giving me the run around. Said that with the plan I have I can pretty much have what I want. But then in the same breath said that it was sent it to benefits and then benefits sent it on to pre-determination and medical neccesity.  So I'm still waiting. Was also told that it takes 30-45 days for approval.  I had to quite smoking and the wait is driving me CRAZY!!!!!!
