Second Appeal Denied! Dr. Hart office sucks!!!!

I totally know how you feel. I've been working with Dr. Hart's staff for 3 months now and they don't have it together. My PCP has ended up faxing my letters to them 6 times because they keep losing it and now, they're telling me that my weight history is not good enough. I cry every night. It seems like a never ending battle and I feel like I've come too far to change doctors now.

HI!!!! I feel better today. I spoke to dr maciks office and tiffany was very helpful she discussed the whole situation with me she does the insurance at this office. I got more info from her than anyone from dr harts office. I dont need to start over she told me to come to the appointment meet the dr. and bring all of my stuff from dr harts office and we will work on anything they didnt do properly. Amanda at dr harts office only responds two days a week which i think is terrible. And when you do catch her she never ever returns a call. GEt out of dr harts office as quick as you can . I am so sorry you are having such a hard time. Its crazy to hear b/c I use dr harts office and have had nothing but an amazing experience. my advise would be to call Latonya at the office. To the best fo MY knowledge it is SHE that does there submition to insurance. (at least she did when i had my surgery). latonya is great to work with and is very very helpful. I would also reach out directly to Dr hart and tell him about the experience you have had with his staff. He will definitly want to know that he lost a patient due to his staff's negligence. I wish i knew more to say - its just so hard to believe we are talking about the same office. best of luck resolving this

Thats strange Because i called latonya 3days ago and she has not returned my call either. My next step will be to speak with Dr.Hart

Thats odd - but I'm the kind of person that if I dont hear back within 24 hours I call back to check in. Let us know what Dr Hart says.  Sorry you are having a hard time, hopefully this will be all cleared up soon - I can only imagine how frustratiing that must be.

See to me thats the thing about an office dealing with surgeries. Not just office visits they operate on people who may need to talk to some one, may need some information and they dont have enough sense to return calls within 24 hours. No one should have to call them back after 24 hrs to say hey! no one ever called me back. One time i understand but we are talking everytime i call latonya was three days ago i called the manager of insurance claims 4 days ago and sent e-mail. Sorry just venting real glad everything went well for you.!!!!

No I understand where you are coming from - if it was me i would have been suuuuuper pissed! If it is any consolation i did have to call once post -op and the nurse got back to me very quickly. That is operated by someone else though.

I called Dr. Harts office today as well and left a message for Latonya and my call was returned today. I was calling to see if they had submitted my paperwork to the insurance company for I had completed all the steps last week Thursday. Dr. Johnson will be my surgeon.

So sorry to hear of the problems with your Dr's office.   Our primary Dr's staff is the pits.  We are looking for a new Dr at this time.  We are seeing Dr Maynard in Conyers.  His staff seems so on top of everything.  At his monthly support group meeting, he and everyone of his staff members are there, too.  We have Aetna HMO.  We are still in the process of getting everything done then they can submit to the insurance.  I'm farther thru the process than my husband. We've heard a lot about Dr Scott in Rome.  There are lots of people at work who have and will be using him.  He is not on our insurance otherwise I think we would have traveled those extra miles to Rome but we have since heard so many great reviews on Dr Maynard.  At the support group mtg we attended, as he came in he went around the tables and shook hands or hugged everyone of his patients and/or family members there.

I'm with *****yMel.. I can not believe that you have had so much trouble with Dr Harts office.  My calls have been returned within  the same business day by Latonya.  She has worked hard answering all of my questions and helping me get together my paperwork.  My paperwork was submidted to insurance yesterday!!   I called Aetna today and they have recieved it already and is pending approval.  As far as their office I have had nothing but a great experience!!!  Im so sorry to hear you have not!  I am waiting what I hope to be an approval from aetna but as far as Dr hart and his staff they have been outstanding!!  I wish you the best of luck and I too would encourrage you to contact Dr Hart to let him know of your concerns!  Again Good luck!!
