LOL and it seems like forever. After the seminar I think we can submidt to the insurance but I guess I will find out when they decide to call me!! :-) If it is meant to be it will happen!!! Anyway... CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know how excited you must be... YIPPPPPEEEEEE
Thanks Ginger!!!!!!
I saw Dr. Hart today- all is well... and I'd lost 11 lbs since Thursday!!!!! I decided, w/ my primary dr's consent, to start protein drinks and do broths/soups... pretty effective :)
Picked up my script for pain medicine & got it filled while I was in John's Creek. Now I just have to wait until Friday for my appointment w/ Melissa.
Ginger- I thought you already went to the seminar? Do you mean you're going to the support group meeting? If I'm able to drive, I'll see you there :)
Thanks, Mel!
I ended up starting clear liquids last Thursday (13 days pre-op)... and from then until Monday, I lost 11 lbs. Haha. I'm currently eating scrambled eggs for one meal, tomato soup for another, and broth/protein drink for another. It's actually not too bad at all. The clear liquid was brutal the 2nd day, but after that, it actually was kind of enjoyable. I had to eat more because I ended up w/ a sinus infection & needed more substance for my antibiotic to 'behave' and not make me nauseated.
How are YOU doing Mel?
18lbs down since surgery!! (need to update my ticker) today is 3 weeks out!! woot!!
Great job on the liquid stuff. I lost 13 before surgery with the pre-op diet that Rachel put me on!
total loss of 31 since the middle of March! woot! i'm excited!

going to the hospital - they give you the spirometer thingy to practice with - they ask you questions - draw some blood and thats about it. After that, if you haven't already, go to the information booth and tell them you want a tour of the bariatric wing: ask for Rita - she is the bariatric coordinator and she will show you around the floor and what the rooms look like - etc. Rita is great!
