SUGGESTIONS FOR SELF PAY?????

i know that I want LAP BAnd surgery, but it is very expensive here. I have thought about going out of the country, but then what do I do for my fills????????????/ Has anyone had this experience???????

 It has been my experience that once you go out of the country to have Lap Band surgery, you may find it very difficult to find a bariatric surgeon here in the states that will take over your care.  The search for a surgeon could be very frustrating for you.  The cost for a Lap Band here in the Atlanta area ranges from around $10,000 to $15,000.  I'm not certain what the fills after surgery cost since each surgeon is different in how they manage their after care. I wish you success in your search.

I too have heard many struggle to find someone who would do follow up on surgery fromout of the country. I borrowed the money to have surgery and do not regret it. It has been a great learning experience and well worth the experience. I don't know where you live but I have heard some people talk about going to fill centers that are now in big cities so you might want to check into that.  Good luck!
