Can't eat
I had my surgery the last week of Jan 08. Since that time I have lost 68 pounds. I have been doing good eating soft foods but I am tired of doing without meat. The only reason I do without it is because I can no longer swallow it. If I do manage to get it down it will come back up no matter how long I chew it. When I had the gastric by pass I also had a hernia repaired and the doctor put a mesh lining on my esophagus. I think that I need the balloon in my throat to stretch it so that I can eat like a real person. I do know of one person who did that recently and it helped her. She was suffering from malnutriton and dehydration. This is not my case but I am tired of throwing up every other day. The only things I eat are yogurt and fruits. Is there anyone else out there that has had this problem? I do have an appointment next week to see my doctor to beg him to do something. Two weeks ago he said it will stretch out in time but I don't think I can wait that long to feel normal again. I feel great other than this one thing. Waiting to hear from someone. Annie B.
