Hello everyone  Well Today was the grand opening for the new H&M store at north point mall. My DH was so supportive he stood for 3 hours on this line with me so that we could be two of the first 200 people into the grand opening and everyone recieved gift cards from 10.00 up to 250.00 dollars. I am from new york so i knew how fun and cheap the clothes were so any amount of free shopping was worth it. Everything was going great my husband got a 25.00 gift card and goody bag as well as i did. So there i was waiting to crash through this velvet rope to get my 50.00 worth of anything. If i didnt already know i was reminded today that the world was not kind to overwieght people. Out of 250 people at least 4 of us were overweight. Dont get me wrong in New York H&M has great inexspensive plus size clohting. But upon entering the atlanta store my heart sank all the size 5 women had so many items they were falling over. While myself and the 4 other women went from rack to rack searching for anything that would fit us besides sun glasses and other accessories. The sandals were even cut for the smallest size ten foot. They graciously went up to a size 16 but in the most unflattering of items. I know that i usually always feel like the biggest girl in the room but it was made more apparent by our empty arms and long faces. I am waiting approval for my lap band and today i didnt know if i would be able to wait or begin to sew my mouth shut now to have some sort of clothing options for the summer.!!!! Sorry so long

Sounds like a  punching bag with the face of the clothing buyer for that store would have been in order! So sorry about your rough day. Don't let it get you down. I've had my lap band since Jan 14th...each day is a whole new world. It's so fun to wear clothes. I thought the day would never come, but once I got my approval is was a whirl wind and before I knew it I was sipping liquids. Keep us posted so we can celebrate your journey!

So sorry to hear of your experience...I've been there myself.  Just be patient, that LapBand approval is coming!
