Atlanta Support groups?

Are there any Atlanta Support groups for the RYN surgery ? We are moving to the Forest park or Decatur area as soon as we sell our house in Waycross. I just don't want to be without my group. Let me know.

Hi Roxanna -  Rockdale Medical Center in Conyers has a monthly support group the first Wedneday of every month at 6:00 p.m. in the new wing of the hospital.  This might not be real convenient for you if you are in the Forest Park area but Decatur isn't too far away! Good luck on your move!

We have a support group meeting the second Wednesday of the  month at 7:00 pm at Emory Johns Creek Hospital in Duluth.  That meeting is the general meeting and open to everyone.  We have a Veterans support group meeting the third Wednesday of the month, and that is for anyone who has had gastric bypass a year or longer.  If you would like more information, please call me.  My name is Rita and I'm the Bariatric Coordinator for the hospital, and I had Gastric Bypass almost 6 years ago, and I to believe in support groups.   My number is 678-474-8222.

Rita- Are there a lot of lap band members of the support group?  Also, is it primarily people who've gone to a certain doctor or can anyone really attend?  Thanks!
