Any folks around the Alpharetta /Forsyth area w/ Lap Band?

I am currently scheduled for surgery on June 9th and see that there's a support group that meets in Henry County and some other ones, but nothing really around this area that isn't with a specific doctor's office.  My dr's office has one but I just wanted to try to find some other Lap Bandsters in my area that I could talk to/meet up with since it seems that everyone is all over GA.  I'm looking forward to my surgery but a little discouraged because I just want to find some local friends who understand what I'm going through.  Not that living outside this area is a bad thing but I don't know anyone else who's had the LB and only some folks with other surgeries. Thanks, guys!  Are these groups usually full of folks that have all seen the same doctor or is it a general support group?  I am not really comfortable going to one if it's run by a specific doctor's office and primarily for his patients.  But, I'll check them out if they aren't.  Thanks!

There is a support group at North Fulton Regional on the 1st Tuesday of every month.  The next one will be May 6th and it's a CLOTHING EXCHANGE!   It's open to ALL (not specific to lap banders). If you ever want to meet up or just need to talk to someone feel free to let me know. I have not had the surgery like you and because of the days and times of the support group meetings can not make any of them. Friends to get you through this are always good.
