help with support groups

I'm new to the site and don't even know if I'm posting in the correct spot but I need help finding a support group in my area. I'm having my surgery (no date yet) in Birmingham, AL but that is 3 hours away from me. My surgeon wants me to attend support groups but I don't really want to make the 3 hour trek there. I live in Phenix City, AL which is on the state line with Columbus, GA. If anyone has anything close to there, I would appreciate the help. Thanks

Hi1 I haven't been on in a long time but if my memory serves me correct Amy Williams goes to or does a support group in the columbus area. Check out her profile and drop her a line. or repost with columbus area supprt group in the title I know she will respond she is too helpful and sweet!
