Looking for a group in the Douglasville or surrounding areas

My RNY was 2/6 and my support group is at Northside Hospital; too far.  Are there any folks out there in the Douglasville or surrounding areas that meet either as a group, form our own or just meet for casual discussions?  Thank you.

Carrollton used to have one at Tanner Medical in Carrollton on like the 3rd Wednesday of the month.....I'll check into it and try to get back with you about the time and day.   Good luck to you~ Lisa

Hello~  My name is Melissa and though I haven't had the surgery yet, I am going to my first Seminar on Saturday. Anyhow, my sister and I are new to the area, Dallas, GA that is, and I am looking for people like us to meet with and discuss whatevers on our minds. To meet new friends etc.. If you hear of a meeting close by please let me know.  I had surgery by Dr. Daly in June of 2007 and don't go to the meetings because they are so far away.   I would love it if the hospital in Carrolton or somewhere nearby had a meeting even if it was bimonthly. Good luck on your journey.   Julie

Hi!  Not sure if you found a group yet, but Wellstar has three!  One at Cobb, Kennestone, and Windy Hill hospitals.
