Pysch from hell!

Has anyone ever used Dr. Jennifer F Kelly for their pysch evaluation. I just had a HORRIBLE experience with her.

I need to hurry and get my paperwork in and she is being a nightmare! I think she is violating my HIPAA rights. I am so upset!

But bBasically she is saying that she has my 'notes' but not tmy psych evaluation because the insurance company has not paid her yet (they only got the claim on March 12th, though my appointment was on March 3rd.) So basically when I asked for a copy of my medical records she says that I can have them but it won't include my pysch evaluation because she hadn't done it yet. Which is a bunch of bull because how can you not have done it when my appointment was on the 3rd??? I told her that HIPAA states that I am entitled to my records and if she refuses to give them to for any reason she must put it in writing. Of course she refused!  So basically after going back and forth with her she basically told me that I can pick up her evaluation for $400 or wait until the insurance company pays (she billed them $820). I mean, it hasn't even been 30 days yet! I need my pysch eval as the last step of my approval process before my insurance runs out with my job (they are outsourcing my job to India) and she is holding me up majorly... and violating HIPAA regulations. I am going to file a complaint against her for sure.

My co-worker used her and she did the same thing to her. She just kept calling her and I think her receptionist was Stallion and I believe she got an attitude with her. I am using Dr. Williams. I went through North Fulton Bariatrics. They are wonderful there. My clinic included the nutrionist, the psychologist who was great and my questions were answered by Ginger and Kim. They are great. I am sorry you are having a hard time with Dr. Kelly.

Girl I am citing HIPAA on her a**. She ain't gotta worry about this happening again. Yes it was Stallion with her ghetto behind. They have found the RIGHT ones, dearheart, please believe that. She kept saying that she didn't want to give me a written record of her not wanting to give me my pysch eval pending payment. I will have the last say in this, believe me!

You go girl!  I would file a complaint with state board . Did you ask her to send it to your Dr? Laurie

Yes, but she refuses. She CLAIMS that the actual eval is not done yet. I told her that she filed claim to my insurance company that it was one, so why isn't it written up yet? So I told her that I would pay her for it on Tuesday, so when I ask her again for my medical records it will be in file, if she refuses then, it will be more to add to my complaint that I have written up for HIPAA. I don't have any problems paying what I owe, but that is why I have insurance. And if she is having that much trouble from insurane companies, she should only take self pay clients!

 

She is CRAZY, she is the one who needs to lay on her couch!

I used her and didn't have any problems at all.

Hi, I am sorry you have to go through that, I used Dr. Hauser, smooth and easy eval.

Man!!!  I had Dr. Santavicca, and he had my report in to my Dr. within 18 hours!!  He was great.  I'm sorry that you are having so much trouble with this.  I hope it gets better.
