MY FRIEND NEEDS HELP FINDING A PCP THAT ACCEPTS MEDICAID

MY FRIEND LIVES IN TIFTON AND IS LOOKING FORWARD TO HAVING WLS. SHE HAS RECENTLY HAD TO GET MEDICAID AFTER LOSING HEALTH INSURANCE VIA AN EMPLOYER. NOW SHE IS READY TO VENTURE INTO COMPLETING HER LEG WORK TO HAVE WLS, BUT HER PCP THAT SHE WAS USING DONT TAKE MEDICAID OF ANY FORM. DO ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS. SHE WOULD LIKE DOCTORS WITHIN THE 50 MILES RADIUS OF TIFTON. SHE IS PRESSED FOR TIME ANY AND ALL SUGESSTION WILL BE APPRECIATED. SHE PERFER SOMEONE THAT WILL SUPPORT HER IN HER DECISION TO HAVE WLS.

Let me know if you find one that takes for lapband also. I think there is one in Jacksonville and maybe Savannah. and yours in Atlanta.  If she is going with lapband then that is going to be tough on the fills after she gets off medicaid. and she could use Fillusa in Moultrie for that. But if it is for RNY then she could have it in Atlanta and you two could ride together for check ups after she has her surgery.

OOOPs ..was thinking surgeron and you were asking about PCP..sorry. Is there one near you that she could use? Ask for a list from medicaid
