ARE THERE ANY SUPPORT GROUPS IN SOUTH GEORGIA

I LIVE IN SOUTH EAST GEORGIA AND I NEED TO FIND A SUPPORT GROUP CLOSER TO ME. I AM CLOSE TO TIFTON GA.

I was going to tell you that Dr. Henderson had a support group in Brunswick but that would be to far of a drive. Do you live in Tifton? We have some freinds tthat live in Tifton and I am originally from the Waycross area. Wish I could have been more help to you. Louise

I know there are support groups in Waycross, Savannah, Collins and Brunswick. Next meetings for band patients are: Brunswick- April 1st,  Savannah - March 6 and March 20 Collins - March 24 Waycross - March 20 Hope some of these will help. I am in Blackshear so I go to the Waycross group even though I had surgery in Savannah.

I am sure it doesn't matter. I know the groups in Waycross and Collins are mixed groups. Brunswick group is March 17 for RNY and Savannah groups are also mixed.

Barbara, I live in BLackshear and had Dr. Whipple. He is great! He was recommended to me by a friend who used him when she had bypass surgery.   I have come to appreciate all of them in that office. I see you had surgery a week before I did. Are you doing well? Losing weight? Take care!

Yes I had surgery with Dr. Angstadt, on March 2, 2007. I am at goal 140 lbs, and have been since Dec. 2007. I am doing very well.
Do you go to any of the support groups in Savannah?
Did you go to the Gala in August?
There will be another Gala on August 2, 2008, A fall workshop in Oct. and a Womans night out in June. I think on June 2. IT will be a friday night, and a speaker from Hilton HEAD IS coming to speak about dressing as you loose weight. How to look your best for the body type you have.

Hi! I didn't have surgery till Nov 19th  of '07 and it will be a long time till I reach goal! I have LOTS to loose, but I have started! I am single and teach fifth grade in Blackshear. When I went for a fill the other day they told me about the Ladies Night out and am going to try and do that one since we will be out of school then. I have not been to the Gala. A good friend of mine went last year though and had a great time. I have been to a couple of support groups in Savannah buthave started going to the one in Waycross since it is only a few minutes away opposed to 2 hours! I do want to come to some of the support groups in the summer though if I can.
