Definitely take it easy. Follow your doctor's orders and walk a little more each day. One of the benefits for us in taking our time to recover was it also helped us get it a good eating/drinking pattern. Once you start feeling back to your old self it can be hard to resist eating foods you know you shouldn't, but "can".
I can't say I've been perfect, but I'm very careful about what I eat and really want this to be the way I live forever. I've been so thrilled with how things are going so far.
