It's so quiet on the Georgia board. We need to get things moving and put excitement back into the board. It was very active at one time.  Who's with me? tami

Dear Tami, I agree with you, girl! Seems like many people are so very busy, and don't really take time to ck. the Ga. Board.  There are so many issues which could be addressed here by many of the older posties. I am sure willing to help out in any way I possibly can. Some of the newbies, just don't seem to want to share their problems or concerns. There are so many of us who could and are ready to answer any questions. Many of us, Oldies have many funny stories, and how we have solved some of the problems we have had in our early days, that could be shared.I am sure, many Oldies will agree with me that, after some people's surgery, they just want to just  get on with their new lives and  that is just how it is. I met a man who is a 2001 posties and he hasn't even attended any support groups. Why? He needs to reach out to others and eventually someone will give his some help like I did after I met him. Many areas DO NOT HAVE SUPPORT GROUPS in their areas. I believe, Support is as near as the person wants it to be. If any person goes on line, he can locate a support group Somewhere. I am always willimg to help and gather posties and newbies together for meetings. I hopes this helps you, Tami! Prayers and Love, Nenna 1950 Open RNY 4/2002 wt loss 130lbs  Would I do It again? Hello from Rincon.........................near Savannah. I am fairly new.............my surgery was Feb 15, I'm down 30 pounds: 18 pre-op. I had a terrible time the week after surgery, but now seem to be on the mend. I read so many negative things, my mom says I should stay off these web-sites, but I am always looking for the "Happy Endings.....................beginnings really. So keep up the good work girls!

Hey there!  I am from Atlanta near Tucker.  I'm inside 285.  Anyway, I moved here from Indiana back at the end of 2006.  I had surgery May of 2004 and have lost over 100 pounds.  I had my 3rd child last March (he is getting ready to have his birthday on the 6th) and I am finishing losing the last bit of weight I gained having him.  I used to be pretty active in Indiana, so maybe I can be again here. :)

You are not that far from me.  We should get together for coffee or something sometime!  I am trying to meet others nearby to kind of have like our own little support group!  Interested in a social meeting sometime?

Hi,  I had my gastric bypass in June 2007 with Dr. Daly.  I"m down 100 pounds and would definitely have the surgery again.  I live in Dallas Georgia.   Julie
