Nausea

I'm only 2 days post-op, I was feeling great. This afternoon I felt very nauseated. I took the phenergran and it made me throw up! Now I am so scared I messed up my band. How about day 3? Will I start to level out? I have never had surgery before, mom says this  is as much about the trauma and anesthesia as the band. Anyone else??

I'm sorry you are having the nausea problem. I have that and have to make sure doctors understand I have to have something before and after being put to sleep. They used a little patch for my banding and for some sinus surgery I had earlier in the year..it worked great. It is what you use when you get sea sick too. it takes 4 hours for it to start working but works for 3 days. Call the doctor and tell them what is going on. Phyllis

  Cindy, I am sorry you are sick! I was soooo sick in the beginning,too!  My surgeon told me to use Lemon Juice and water. Use fresh Lemon juice deluted with  tap water. I did this several times daily and it helped me soooo much. Itis so awful when you feel soo sick. I must have used 2 doz. lemons before, I got over my WLS. Still ,if I get neauseated, I keep Real Lemon in the car and always a bottle of water. It has been a "STOMACH SAVER" for me! Try IT, It Works! LOve, NENNA Open RNY 4/2022. wt. loss 126lbs.
