Plastic Surgery/Tricare
I am having issues with Tricare paying normal medical bills, I am afraid to even try to get them to cover plastic surgery. But I have to do something. This is getting ridiculous, lol Are there any military out there that can give me advice on where to start on the process? I found a doctor that I like, but I havent contacted them. I want to get my ducks in a row before contacting anyone.
Thanks!
I am also looking for info about getting plastic surgery paid for by tricare.
I gained 85 pounds during my first pregnancy. It left me with hanging skin on my stomach and my butt. I look 4-6 months pregnant even though I am "normal" weight...
Anyway, it really gets to me. I am active duty and I feel really unprofessional, and like people are looking at me like I need to lose weight. It makes me so self-conscious that I truly believe it affects my job.
I had been hoping to try to get it justified based on psychological impact or something, but I hadn't thought about the infection/skin irritation justification. It hasn't caused infection or irritation to this point, though.
We need to get more info about this. I would like to schedule an appointment with my PCM on base to discuss it, but I am afraid they will reject it...I would rather be armed with all of the info I can before going to ask so that I can make the best argument possible.
