I had my surgery in 2006...I had the lapband...The surgeon was great until I ended up having to have a revision.
As well the staff is VERY difficult to deal with even after the initial run around I received before I even had the surgery. Having the surgery was about my health, but it is ashame that so much money is put into your surgery, yet you are treated so unkind.
In MY opinion that is not good good customer service (which should come FIRST and farmost)!
I did NOTHING WRONG on my part to ruin my band, but if something is broke, fix it don't try to avoid the patient.
Word of mouth is the VERY BEST OR VERY WORST advertisement, and Titus Duncan's office needs to be aware of that.
Again, this was my experience, but hopefully noone else will have to endure what I have...I am STILL in the process of having the revision done, and hopefully @ some point I will find resolution so that I can use the tool (lapband) as it was designed for, as I have done in the past when it was working properly.
Thank for listening!

I had gastric bypass surgey on May 21st 2012.  My surgeon was Dr. Titus Duncan who is very friendly.  My surgery went well and I haven't had any major complications.  I have however had problems with Dr. Duncan's office staff.  They take forever to return a call.  Also, I was told to eat 60-80 grams of protein or I could have hair loss.  I've been eating the recommended amount of protein but my hair is still falling out.  I've called several times to speak to the nutritionist and finally got her.  She tells me I have to eat no more than 20 grams of protein at a time because that's all the body can absorb.  So, long story short most of my protein has not counted.  I've been using a protein shake that is 60 grams of protein so I've been adding 20 grams.  Therefore, I have only been absorbing 40 grams of protein.  Thank goodness I found out before I went bald.

Hi  My name is Fredrica and Dr.Duncan did my surgery about 4 years ago. He is great and I haven't had any complications from my surgery. Dr.Duncans office was very helpful. I worked with Joyce in which she is no longer there. But his office was very helpul and the only advice I would give you is just to  follow up with the insurance company everyday if need be just keep calling and staying on top of everything.  Good Luck! You are almost there. Fredrica
