My Hair
You are not going bald. I too have had the hair lose. So much so that I have been afraid to wash or brush my hair. The doctors all assure me that they have Never had anyone go bald from this surgery. It is a combination of the anesthesia and lower amounts of vitamins and protein. It will slow down. Mine has lasted a very long time (I had lots of anesthesia)but I have noticed a lot of new growth and it has slowed down a lot.

Hello, I once had very thick hair before surgery, so thick that I could not put it in a rubber band. Now I have very thin hair and it continues to fall out in klumps day after day. I try to get in the correct amount of protein but sometimes I fail at that. I too am afraid that I will loose all of my hair but you can trust the folks on this board, they have been there and done that. I dont worry too much about it anymore. I have got some hair, skin, and nail vitamins. I was told that this would help. See you later......Renee

It will slow down, I promise. Along with keeping my protein up, I also took Biotin( I bought at Walmart) and it did help. Remember, that it is one of the side effects of wls, and not consumming enough protein. I am 28 months out, and still have some issued with loosing my hair if my intake isn't enough.
