just made the first appt

Hello my name is Shirley and yesterday i made my first appt at Emory.  If anyone is going thought Emory please write back.  I dont know why I'm so worried my mom and both sister have already had it done. I know all about it.  But just picking up the phone and making that call was hard for me.

I am actually using Dr Davis at Emory.  I have had my 1st appointment last week.  I have an appointment with my PCP on Monday and then my psych eval on Thursday then everything can be send to my insurance company.  I pray that I get approved the first time.  What Dr. are you using?

at this time I dont have a doc i go to the free class and then from there. Can you tell something about the free class. I dont go until feb.21. wish me luck

My husband and I went to the seminar and it was very informative.  Dr Davis was actually the speaker at the seminar I attended and he is the Dr that I will be using.  They go through all the different types of weight loss surgeries there are and insurance information and just how to get started from that point.  I went on 1/10/08, had my appt with my PCP yesterday and got my letter from them and I have my psych evaluation on 1/24/08 so then all of my information can be sent to my insurance company and hopefully I will be approved and quick.

glad to hear that. Emory's next meeting is feb 21 so I have to wait until then.  Looking for more meetings. good luck
