Unsolicited but needed advice from the other board
Last night I answered a post from a sweet lady who was having a hard time getting her groove back. This morning at eight a.m., I had a very similar conversation with one of my twiggy little girl friends here in Augusta. It just goes to show that even when you have what we are all striving for (better health, better looking bodies and new attitudes) you still may hit a bump or two in the road. So, I decided to share this stuff this morning.
Hope you dont mind the read!

YOU have the ability to change the way you feel about your body . You know it only takes 21 days to develop a new habit, right? YOU have the ability to change anything about yourself that you want to, become anything that you want to, BE anything that you want to.
Find one thing to work on and work it girl. I spent far too much time being insecure and feeling unsexy. I truly believe that there are other fabulous women out there...but none more so than Ms. Ingrid. These are things that work for me:
1. Get new undies...not functional ones...go for the pretty. Nothing feels as good as a fabulously pretty bra and panty combo. No matter what I have to wear on top of them, I feel sexy sassy just knowing they're there.
2. Pick one feature to feature every day. Have a beautiful smile...buy a new lip gloss to play it up. Beautiful hair or eyelashes...play them up. My friend, Bev, looks at me every once in a while and will say "OK, Ms. Thing...what is the emphasis today?" I tell her...we laugh...she says "You are too many things, girl!" I agree and go back to my office. lol
3. Make sure that your clothes actually fit. I had a hard time with this until last weekend. I was trying to make due and totally wasn't. I packed up all my stuff and went out to buy as much as I could afford. lol I've felt fabulous since!
4. This one is REALLY important. Pick a song. Any song(Shania to Puffy--it doesn't matter)...and make it your runway music for the day. Sometimes I'll be walking down the hall at the hospital and a song will pop into my head and I work my shimmy to my own music. Contrary to what you may be thinking right now, I am NOT crazy...lol People do not see me physically dancing down the hallway...All they see is a woman. Head up, shoulders back, working it. You can do it too, I promise.
Try it. It'll work for you.
Take care and remember...
