I have a date!

Good Morning Georgia, I have a date for my lap band, it is January 16.  I received the call last night when I got home from work.  This is so exciting.   

Congratulations!!  I remember when I got the call from my surgeon's office and you're right -- it is very exciting.  We'll be waiting for you at the loser's bench.

Thank you Georgiagirl it is great to hear from a co-bander.  It seems there are not too many of us out here.  I started out wanting the RNY and changed my mind,  when I come to this board, see the number of people who have had the bypass vs the band, I worry I am making the wrong choice.  Are you happy with the choice you made? Congrats! We can be banded buddies...my date is the 14th. I attend a local support group and there aren't many banders there, but I think it's because we have lots of military and their insurance will only pay for RNY. I'm excited and nervous. I'm more worried about staying strong during the banders hell part. My husband is being banded at the same time so hopefully we'll be able to be strong for each other. Shelice
