I got my Japanese

Hi Everyone, I am sorry I haven't been around much lately.  I have been dealing with a whole lot of deep depression.  Well, today is my birthday and when my daughter asked where I wanted to eat I told her Japanese.  She responded with... "how about we go eat Japanese and bring you home the leftovers.".  Well that wasn't ok with me and I told her again I wanted to GO to Japanese.  And they took me.  We went to UMI's and they even let me order off the kids menu (I had the filet mignon) and I split it with my two year old grand daughter.  We still had plenty of leftovers and I sent it all home with them.  Please know that I am thinking about all of you.   I will be back as soon as I can get a better handle on my depression.  Until then... Peace and goodwill to all of you.

Glad you got your Japanese and Happy Birthday.  I have noticed that I don't see you much on the board and wondered what was going on.  You looked wonderful when I saw you on Wednesday.  I know this weight lost stuff does wear on your nerves.  Your body changes so fast till you can hardly keep up with your emotions.  Also, this is a hard time of the year for a lot of us.  Hang in there.  Patricia L

Happy Belated Birthday , Pat. I am glad you got to go to Umi's. Japanese hibachi bars are so much fun.. to watch, and they give you sooo much food.. glad you were able to share with your granddaughter.. I would've sent the left overs home with my children too..   I have missed your posting, and hope things start looking up for you soon. I am going through some issues, other than health, that are making this time of year most difficult to deal with.. so I do understand.

Take good care of yourself, and come back when you can.. I will truly miss your presence tonight.

peachy hugs,

Pat,

I can completely understand. It is like being on another planet. And it seems you just can't come home until the spaceship is good and darned ready to take off, whether you are ready to or not. Friends say, "call me, I am here to talk!" but they don't understand that you just don't have the will to pick up the phone; they say, "Let's go out!" but you can't get out of BED much less get dressed to go out of the HOUSE. Unfortunately, it is not understood unless "you been there, done that", even by those who want to help.

The best thing I can tell you is you are NOT alone. You posted, so that means that you are on the road back to planet earth! One baby step at a time. Make sure that whatever meds you are on are being absorbed appropriately. MAKE SURE you are not taking any SR or XR drugs (sometimes they are not even labeled as such, but they ARE), and even ask your Dr. if you can cut your pills in half or quarters before taking them to see if you can absorb them better. (I learned this the hard way, but once I did, WOW what a difference it made in the efficacy of my meds!!) I even got myself a full-spectrum light that treats SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and use it. That helps tremendously as well. I refuse to have this new life and not take full advantage of all the wonderful things in store for me! And along the way, I intend to assist every single person who might benefit from my experiences. I hope that some of this might be helpful.

And I am glad to hear you got your Birthday dinner!! Good for you for insisting!! Have a wonderful holiday and a Blessed New Year!
