Acworth / Kennesaw Support Group------FUN

Anyone want to meet and have fun in support of one another? I had my surgery 6 weeks ago and would love to start a group. Anyone want to help?

Hi, If you do get responses for something more local, let me know.  I'm three years out but would enjoy meeting other bariatric patients. It sounds like you are more interested in social gatherings than "formal" meetings, and that sounds fine to me! Sandy

Yes this would be social gatherings where we could support each other and share ideas.  We would could bring dishes made from recipe's in Susan Maria Leach's book Before & After.  My sister is in Naples, FL and she says her group is led by a nutritionist who has never had the surgery and has no clue.  So her entire group has left to start their own group.  They will find appropriate speakers and or nutritionists and decide as a group if that is something they want to do.  Mostly social though and support. I am right off of 41 in Acworth near O'Charleys and the new Target.  We can start after the holidays.  Give me a call 678-523-5933

Im 7 wks out and I havent been to a support group yet.  My surgeons group is too far away to go to on a regular basis.  I live about 15 min away from the area youre in.  Im in Dallas and I work in Acworth.  Would love to know what comes together.  Email me sometime:  [email protected]

I live in Dallas and had RNY on 6/27/07.  I also have not been to a support group because I don't want to drive an hour to and from.  Let me know when and where everyone is meeting.   Julie
