Hi Guys,   Well, the cardiologist nurse called today to let me know that my EKG and imaging portions of my chemical stress test were totally abnormal and I need to undergo a heart catherization. I will have the heart cath on Nov 27,2007, so if any of you were planning on me taking you or following me to the Stockbridge support group meeting, I am sorry that I won't be attending the last meeting of the year.. I regret that I cant go this month.  Anway, I   may have to spend the night in the hospital if the heart cath shows any blockages that warrant stents, and if not, but show blockages, I may be placed on oral medications.  I will keep you guys posted as I know more. Take care  and thanks for the continued support and prayers.

Thanks, Phyllis,   I hope that the heart cath shows the problem and it is easily fixed one way or another. I will post as soon as I am able to get back online and post after my cath. Take care, and I do appreciate your constant encouragement and support.

I am so sorry you are having to under go this, but on a positive side my mother has five stents and has undergone the heart cath 3 times with no issues what so ever. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Kerry,   Thank you so much for the positive words, and the encouraging news about your mom and her experiences. I will keep everyone posted as soon as my cath is over, and I have something more to post. I hope that whatever is causing the symptoms can be discovered and fixed easily whether with stents, medication or a combination of both. Take care and I do appreciate your support and prayers.

Hi Trubiano,   I do appreciate your continuing prayers. I promise if I have any more severe symptoms, I will have someone or the ambulance come and take me to the ER. I am going to try to stay as stress free as I can for the next week, as I go to my pre op appt with the cardiologist, and then my other two appt, one in town, and one out of town, and then I plan to spend the holidays out of state with my child and family. I think the entire family, both children, inlaws, step grandchildren, step grandchildren, and grandchild are all gonna be together.. this almost never happens.. should be a great time. Then I will come home, rest, and get ready to have the heart cath. I will post as soon as I can afterwards.  Take care

Well, guys, tomorrow, I see the cardiologist office for a chest xray, and some lab work, as a prerequisite to having the heart cath done.  Since I had such a severe adverse reaction to the Cipro, and my clotting factors were all elevated.. pt, ptt, and inr, I am going to request that those be repeated. I am also going to request that a notation be made in my chart that I had a severe adverse reaction to Cipro and alternative antibiotics should be considered.  I will keep you guys posted.. and will post what happens  as soon as I am home and able to sit at the computer for a few min. Take care
